I get it, if you have read my “Bali Travel Guide” you would know that I was really disappointed with Bali. So why would I continue to write about the destination? Let me just tell you that the food here WAS the BEST part of the whole entire trip! I was only disappointed because I felt like I didn’t get to experience the whole “zen” part of Bali thanks to good ol’ Instagram. It can really play tricks on you. Check out my travel guide to see what I’m talking about. ” Bali Travel Guide”.
I’m a huge foodie; there’s no other way to my heart than good food. Going to Bali I didn’t expect that EVERY type of cuisine would be delicious, but it was! From their poke bowls, Korean chicken burgers, dim sum, baos, and more. I never once had a bad meal there. Jamie and I did eat local too, which was also fantastic.
Usually when you go to a different country, the food as we know back home isn’t the greatest, that’s why a lot of people say just eat local. Nope, not in Bali. Here I’m going to show you all the cutest cafes that have the best decor and the prettiest, tastiest foods! There’s something about how they decorated these places that made you feel like you were in wonderland!

Sorry to hear that you was disappointed by your experience in Bali. I never been on this island but it is on my bucket list. I will review your post to see why. I love post with food recommendations – it is sometimes so difficult to find a nice place to eat or with a nice view :). The Folk Pool & Garden spot is incredible :). And I would love to take an afternoon tea in the Orchid Tea Lounge! Thank you for sharing Amanda 🙂
Everyone has different opinions about Bali! I’m sure you’ll love it! Thanks so much for taking the time to read! 🙂 The food was ahhhhmazing though! Eat lots when you go. 🙂
Yum, look at all that delicious food. Gorgeous photos.
I totally agree about Bali. It’s amazing but I was there 7 years ago and even then Ubud was so overcrowded that I wanted to get the heck out. The places you’ve written about look amazing thought, and I wish I had this list when I went!
I’m glad we’re not the only ones feeling that way about Bali. It looked like a whole new world when you see it online. From the boutique stores (which are expensive) food, places to dine in etc. You went 7 years ago and it was still like that? wow!! lol!
Your food images are perfection. And they look delicious. Sometimes experiencing the cuisine of a destination turns out to be the best part, and often surprisingly so. I will get to Bali someday.
What incredible photos of the food. It all looks so styled and beautiful. I like the healthiness of it all too.
